CHALLENGE
A transatlantic insurance group — operating across the US and UK — was running core products, pricing and day-to-day operations on a patchwork of manual processes and Excel spreadsheets. Time-to-quote was slow, decisioning was inconsistent across teams and geographies, and operational risk was building as the business grew.
Leadership wanted to consolidate onto a modern origination platform and step-change how underwriters worked — but lacked the in-house product, underwriting and change-management capability to deliver the move at pace, without disrupting the live book.
SOLUTION
We embedded a team of specialists drawn directly from the insurance industry — product owners and former underwriters who understood both the domain and the target technology.
They migrated the client's manual products, Excel-driven workflows and legacy operations onto a sophisticated cloud-native policy origination and underwriting platform, redesigning customer journeys and ways of working rather than simply digitising the old.
We built new workflows aligned to the platform's capabilities, introduced a structured change-management approach to bring underwriters, operations and IT along together, and stood up demo environments on new technology so the business could see, test and shape the future state before go-live.
The programme ran for almost a year, with the same core team accountable from design through to embedded delivery.
